Dr. Waks is a senior physician in breast medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers, where she is the Associate Director of Clinical Research for breast oncology, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She conducts clinical research to develop new treatment approaches for breast cancer patients, with a particular focus in HER2-positive breast cancer. She conducts translational research to better understand mechanisms of response and resistance to breast cancer treatment.
